about
"White water" is the latest single to be released from Red Hearted Vibrations upcoming debut album "I'll Be On The Mountain" due a release in late 2021.
Background of White Water:
When swimming through life, you can sometimes feel like you're drowning, or struggling to stay above the surface. The song is about that fight, whether it be with your job, your mental health, or staying on top of your personal life, keeping that balance is key, take the good with the bad. Sometimes life can be plain sailing, and other times it can be almost a fight to survive, but the key is to not give up, and make your way through, across the river styx, as there are calm waters ahead.
The other obvious vibe from the song, is the sunset boulevard influences within the musical style, painting a picture of cruising along a beach in the 80s, in an open top car, looking out onto the white waters, where your mind is drifting away. We're properly proud of the song that we have created, performed and recorded, and feel like we have captured that image perfectly
lyrics
Verse 1:
We made it out in time
We made it out, of this hurricane
Nothing to drag us down
On our own, to start our life again
You showed me how to survive
The current pulls, lost without a guide
The waves crash through time
A struggle out, a fight against the tide
Pre - Chorus:
You stole my heart and gave it back
To someone I can’t ignore anymore
I’m sinking down, drowning at the surface
Knocking at your door
Chorus:
I’m drifting away, river sticks
Getting pulled under
I’m wrestling the waves
The cold bite, white water
Verse 2:
No need to doubt, it’s fine
No need to doubt, I will rise again
Flowing with the times
What doesn’t kill, helps me with the pain
Pre - Chorus:
You stole my heart and gave it back
To someone I can’t ignore anymore
I’m sinking down, drowning at the surface
Knocking at your door
Chorus:
I’m drifting away, river sticks
Getting pulled under
I’m wrestling the waves
The cold bite, white water
